El-Fashir — The Sixth Infantry Division in El-Fashir confirmed its support and that of the citizens of North Darfur State behind President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, the symbol of national sovereignty and pride of the Sudanese nation, from any harm or targeting.
It stressed that the Sixth Infantry Division and the citizens of the state are united in order to confront the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia and all internal and external conspiracies, no matter however they are great.
The Sixth Division said, in its daily press briefing, that the long and continuous artillery shelling by the RSF militia of markets and service areas in El-Fashir city on Friday led to the martyrdom of 22 citizens and the injury of 64 others.
Regarding the operational situation, the Sixth Division said that the Air Force carried out air strikes on Friday on enemy gatherings, destroying nine combat vehicles and a Buffalo ambulance. The strikes killed 33 rebel militia members and injured 41 others, pointing that the warplanes carried out another strike against the RSF militia in Bir Margi hub, devastating 20 combat vehicles and killing 55 others. In the Nyala hub, the press briefing of the Sixth Infantry Division explained that the warplanes carried out a successful air strike on Friday on enemy sites around Nyala International Airport, the command of the (16) Nyala Infantry Division, Hemeidti factories in Domaya, and the vicinity of Nyala Technical College, confirming that the raids achieved their goals successfully, stating that among the sites included in the air strikes in Nyala was the house of Maj. Gen. (Khala) Abdul-Rahman Jumaa in the airport neighborhood, which the militia uses as a warehouse for weapons, ammunition, and drones, noting that eyewitnesses confirmed the rising columns of smoke and the sound of the explosion of ammunition from the house, which continued for more than five hours, adding that the raid also led to the killing of Colonel (Khala) Jamal Abu Bakr Issa.
The 6th Infantry Division revealed, in its press briefing, that sharp disagreements had struck the ranks of the Neutral Force Alliance due to the failure of the militia commander in Kabkabiya to recover the looted items and release the prisoners from the clash that took place between the two sides on Friday on the outskirts of Kabkabiya.
The division also revealed the continued large-scale escapes of militia elements from the city of Mellit towards Saraf Omra, Ad Daein and Nyala for fear of warplanes, reiterating that the situation is stable and under control with the continued tangible progress of the forces on all fronts, wishing mercy and forgiveness for the martyrs and a speedy recovery for the wounded and injured and the return of the missing.
